Abstract. Muhtadi A, Yulianda F, Boer MF, Krisanti M. 2022. Spatial distribution management of Crustacea (Decapoda) based on conservation in tropical tidal lake. Biodiversitas 23: 4064-4072. Siombak Lake has a unique biological system impacted by high and low tides. Crustaceans found this lake are predicted to establish distinctive communities due their interaction with two systems seawater freshwater. Therefore, study aimed determine the characteristics crustacean Lake, which were influenced Crustacean samples taken observed every month at tides traps from September 2018 August 2019. The crustaceans discovered included 5 families 18 species, 13 crabs shrimp. communities' is extremely dynamic, as seen emergence mangrove tide fiddle during tide. more ecology, characterized higher abundance individuals Furthermore, density fluctuates throughout year reaches highest March 8679 ind/100m2. Penaeid shrimp always tides, dominated Parapenaeopsis coromandelica, while only efforts required conserve enhance habitats for sustainable usage.

Disjunct distribution pattern of Procambarus clarkii (Crustacea, Decapoda, Astacida, Cambaridae) in an artificial lake system in Southwestern Germany

Procambarus clarkii is among the worst invasive species that have invaded Europe. It originates from the central south of the USA and northeastern Mexico and is a hardy, r-selected generalist. There exists a marked gradient in population numbers from southwestern to northeastern Europe: The Iberian Peninsula, Italy and France have the bulk of the populations, while northeastern populations are ...

Diversity and Spatial Distribution of Extant Freshwater Ostracodes (Crustacea) in Ancient Lake Ohrid (Macedonia/Albania)

We carried out an intensive sampling survey in ancient Lake Ohrid (Macedonia/Albania), covering all seasons, to determine total species number, relative species abundances and spatial distribution of Ostracoda. We identified 32 living species that belong to seven families (Candonidae, Ilyocyprididae, Cyprididae, Leptocytheridae, Limnocytheridae, Cytherideidae, and Darwinulidae) and 15 genera (C...

Spatial and temporal distribution of gerrid (Heteroptera) and predation on microcrustaceans from a tropical shallow lake.

Predator-prey interactions involving an aquatic insect and zooplanktonic prey of different sizes were investigated to quantify prey mortality exposed to predators. Laboratory experiments were undertaken with the young and adult gerrid Rheumatobates crassifemur to test predation and size selectivity on the cladocerans Daphnia gessneri, Ceriodaphnia richardi, and Bosmina tubicen. Population fluct...
